I never thought that I would be creating my own website. It seems like a lot of work and wasted time. However, a priest-friend convinced me otherwise as he explained how far personal web-building has come. “You can throw it together faster than a daily requiem Mass in 1945,” he said. Maybe…
And I say “maybe” because I used to be into all the web editing and such back in high school. Though he was right, it is easy, it took me quite a bit longer than a 13 minute daily Mass for the dead. In any case, I thought it’s the best way to share
information. Not everyone has the Facebook, or the Twitter, or the What’sApp. Everyone, it seems today, has access to the web.
Most of all, as I prepare to leave the States for 10 months to focus on finishing something I started 3 years ago, I wanted a place for people to be able to send their intentions and prayers. I can’t withdraw completely from ministry, because my heart—I know it already—will yearn to come back to my home diocese and immerse myself in the life of the faithful in the Diocese of Charlotte. For now, I will hold on by a (web)link of the chain.
Stay tuned for some more to come regarding St. Joseph College Seminary, the Eucharistic Congress, the Daughters of the Virgin Mother, and other reflections on life in the Diocese of Charlotte.
